Steps to remove photo albums from iPhone.
Follow the steps below to remove empty or unwanted photo albums on iPhone.
- Open the Photos app > select the Albums tab in the bottom menu and tap the Show All option in the upper right corner.
- Show all albums option in iPhone Photos app.
- On My Albums screen, tap the Edit option in the upper right corner.

- Next, tap the red minus icon next to the album you want to delete from the iPhone.

To delete synced photo albums from Mac to iPhone
If your iPhone displays photo albums from Mac or PC, they are synced photo albums and cannot be deleted with the above steps.
The only way to remove synced photo albums from iPhone is to use iTunes on your Mac or PC.
1. Connect iPhone to Mac or PC with the included Lightning cable.
2. Open Finder and select your iPhone from the side menu.
Select iPhone in the Finder menu on the Mac.
Note: On a Windows computer, open iTunes > click the phone icon as it appears in the iTunes menu, then select your iPhone in the side menu.
3. Next, click the Photos tab (1) > make sure Selected Albums (2) is selected > uncheck Photo Albums (3) that you want to remove from iPhone and click Apply.
Remove synced photo albums from Mac to iPhone
Note: This method only removes synced photo albums from Mac to iPhone. Albums created on iPhone are not affected.
Wait for the changes to sync with your iPhone.
Once the sync process is complete, only the selected photo albums will remain on your device, while any unselected or disabled photo albums will be removed from the iPhone.
